9 is a 2002 Turkish mystery film written and directed by Ümit Ünal in his directorial debut. The story begins with the murder of a homeless street girl known to everyone in a poor Istanbul neighborhood as "Kirpi" (Hedgehog), and unfolds through the police-camera interrogations of six suspects and footage shot by one of the characters with a handheld camera. Ali Poyrazoğlu appears as Firuz, the anxious photographer, and as the questioning deepens, the hidden side of the neighborhood gradually comes to light.

Considered the first Turkish film shot entirely on digital and later transferred to 35mm, 9 was released in Türkiye on November 15, 2002. While competing in the National Competition of the 21st International Istanbul Film Festival, an attempt was made to censor it, but the move was abandoned after public reaction. The film was selected as Türkiye's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, though it was not nominated.
