The Anecdote (Azerbaijani: Lətifə) is a full-length Azerbaijani film directed by Nizami Musayev and shot in Baku in 1989 at the Azerbaijanfilm studio. Made in the tragic comedy genre, the film portrays the dysfunctional Soviet management system in the Azerbaijan SSR at the end of the 1980s, focusing on the decadence and corruption of the Soviet bureaucracy.

Starring Rasim Balayev and Yaşar Nuri, the Soviet Union production was filmed in the Azerbaijani language and stands out as a drama that critiques the bureaucratic decay of its era.
