El monte de las brujas

El monte de las brujas (English title: The Witches Mountain) is a 1972 Spanish horror film directed and co-written by Raúl Artigot. Shot in Spanish and running 86 minutes, the film was banned from Spanish cinemas due to censorship and premiered instead in the United States.

The story follows Mario, a photographer who accepts an assignment in the Pyrenees just across the Spanish border and invites the young writer Delia to accompany him on the journey. As the pair travel through the remote mountainous region, they soon find themselves facing supernatural encounters, and the local tales of witches begin to seem like more than mere folklore. Patty Shepard stars as Delia, Cihangir Gaffari as Mario and Mónica Randall as Carla, with Guillermo Bredeston, Soledad Silveyra and Víctor Israel also appearing in the cast.
