Movie · 1968 · 4 people

Find a Place to Die (original title: Joe... cercati un posto per morire!) is a 1968 Italian Spaghetti Western directed by Giuliano Carnimeo, who was credited under his customary pseudonym Anthony Ascott. Certain sequences were handled by Hugo Fregonese, who also produced the picture, and the screenplay is jointly credited to Carnimeo, Fregonese and Leonardo Benvenuti. The story has been described as a reworking of the 1954 American western Garden of Evil. Jeffrey Hunter heads the cast alongside French actress Pascale Petit, with Nello Pazzafini, Daniela Giordano and Reza Fazeli among the supporting players. The film premiered in Italy in September 1968 and opened in German cinemas in June 1969 as Ringo, such dir einen Platz zum Sterben. A nude scene involving Pascale Petit led to restrictive ratings abroad, including an X certificate in the United Kingdom and an R rating in the United States. Shot in Italian, it circulated internationally under a variety of titles.
