One Day in the Future (Gelecekten Bir Gün)

Gelecekten Bir Gün (One Day in the Future) is a Turkish comedy film directed by Boğaçhan Dündar and written by Cüneyt Ceylan, released nationwide on January 15, 2010. It marked the director's first feature-length work.

The story centers on Tolga, a man who sees himself as the unluckiest person alive after repeated failures at work and in his private life. Convinced that he has lost both his last job opportunity and the woman he loves, he takes his own life. Two angels then appear and, as a form of punishment, show him what his life would have become had he lived, letting him experience a single day from his future, set about five years ahead in Turkey. The premise consciously echoes the formula of Frank Capra's classic It's a Wonderful Life.

Tolga is played by Hayrettin Karaoğuz, an internet celebrity taking his first leading role in a feature film. Rasim Öztekin appears as one of the angels, while the cast also includes Arda Kural, Hande Subaşı, and Işın Karaca.
