Golden Egg Chicken

Golden Egg Chicken (Persian: مرغ تخم‌طلا) is an Iranian musical film released in 1972. It was directed by Mehdi Reisfirooz from a screenplay by Parviz Khatibi, and produced by Esmail Koushan at the Pars Film studio. Shot in color with the widescreen CinemaScope format, it has a running time of about 88 minutes. The cast features popular performers of the era, including Mohammadtaghi Kohanmouei, Bahman Mofid, Humayun Tebrizyan and the singer-actress Marjan. The picture is representative of the song-and-dance commercial cinema that flourished in Iran before the 1979 revolution, an industry in which Pars Film ranked among the most prominent private studios of its day.
