The Lady Villager (Hanım Köylü) (translated)

Hanım Köylü is a Turkish television series produced by Gold Film. Classed as a family and romantic comedy, it premiered on 23 April 2016. Yusuf Çim and Gülsim Ali shared the leading roles and were the two names given top billing on the show's promotional artwork.

As the title suggests, the series builds its romantic comedy around a story set in the countryside, drawing much of its humour from the collision between village life and city-bred characters. The supporting cast included Mehmet Özgür, Cihan Şimşek, Hazal Adıyaman and Uğur Biçer.

The series ran for a total of 13 episodes and came to an end with the finale broadcast on 1 August 2016. Despite its short run, it is remembered as one of the early leading-role projects for both Gülsim Ali and Yusuf Çim.
