Hassan, the Bald

Hassan, the Bald (Persian: Hassan Kachal, حسن کچل) is a 1970 Iranian musical film, regarded as the first musical in Iranian cinema. It is set in the atmosphere of old Iran.

The film marked the directorial debut of Ali Hatami, who also wrote the screenplay and the song lyrics; it was produced by Ali Abbasi under the Payam cinema organization.

Running about 106 minutes, the film's cast includes Parviz Sayyad, Hamideh Kheirabadi and Katayoun Amirebrahimi.
