Hercules and the Masked Rider

Movie · 1963 · 3 people

Hercules and the Masked Rider (originally Golia e il cavaliere mascherato) is a 1963 Italian peplum adventure film written and directed by Piero Pierotti. A crossover of genres, it moves the mythological strongman Hercules — called Goliath in the original version — into seventeenth-century Spain, where he becomes involved in a story built around a masked horseman reminiscent of Zorro. Alan Steel heads the cast, supported by familiar faces of Italian genre cinema such as Mimmo Palmara, José Greci, Arturo Dominici and Ettore Manni. Shot in Italian, the film was released internationally under several different titles.
