Caliphate (Hilafet (TV dizisi))

Hilafet (original title Kalifat, English Caliphate) is a Swedish thriller drama series directed by Goran Kapetanović from a screenplay by Wilhelm Behrman and Niklas Rockström. Its single season of eight roughly 46-minute episodes premiered on Sveriges Television on 12 January 2020 and was released globally on Netflix on 18 March 2020.

The story draws on the real-life 2015 case of London's Bethnal Green trio: Swedish Security Service agent Fatima receives a tip about a planned terrorist attack, while Pervin, a Swedish woman trapped in Raqqa, tries to flee with her baby, and high-school student Sulle is groomed by a recruiter at home. Starring Gizem Erdoğan as Pervin, the series became the most-watched title ever on SVT Play.
