Hostage

Hostage, known in Persian as Gerogan, is a 1974 Iranian production directed by Ahmad Shirazi that blends crime, romance and action within the popular commercial style known as Filmfarsi. Reza Karimi wrote the screenplay for the picture, which stands as a representative example of Iran's 1970s commercial filmmaking tradition.

The cast is led by Beyk İmanverdi and Morteza Aghili, alongside a number of other well-known performers of the era. The film reached Iranian cinemas in the Iranian calendar year 1353, corresponding to 1974-75 in the Gregorian calendar.
