The Crookes

The Crookes (Persian: Najoorha) is a 1974 Iranian crime film directed by Saeed Motalebi from a screenplay by Reza Aghili. It is counted among the products of Filmfarsi, the commercial popular cinema that flourished in Iran before the revolution. The cast is headed by Mohammad-Ali Fardin, one of the biggest box-office stars of his day, supported by Beyk İmanverdi, Morteza Aghili, Soraya Hekmat, Ali Azad, Simin Alizadeh, Mohammadtaghi Kohanmouei, and Farhad Hamidi. Shot in Persian and running roughly 89 minutes, the picture blends crime and drama in the manner typical of Iranian genre filmmaking of the era.
