Il vedovo

Il vedovo (The Widower) is a 1959 Italian comedy film directed by Dino Risi. Starring Alberto Sordi alongside Franca Valeri, Leonora Ruffo and Livio Lorenzon, it was written by Rodolfo Sonego, Fabio Carpi and Sandro Continenza. Set in Milan, the roughly hundred-minute picture is regarded as a characteristic example of commedia all'italiana, the satirical comedy tradition that flourished in Italian cinema of the era.
