Jafar va Golnar

Jafar va Golnar is an Iranian film directed by Manoochehr Ghassemi, who also wrote its screenplay, and released in the year 1349 of the Iranian calendar, corresponding to 1970. The Persian-language picture runs roughly 94 minutes and takes its title from the two figures at the centre of its story, Jafar and Golnar. Its principal performers include Füruzan, Yadollah Mohammadinejad and Ali Dehghan, while some listings also name Nematollah Aghasi, Asadollah Yekta, Mansur Vala-Magham, Marina Mater and Ebrahim Fakhar among the cast. The work belongs to the pre-revolutionary era of Iranian cinema, and surviving documentation about it is scarce, with no production company on record.
