Kezban

Kezban is a Turkish film from 1953. Made in black and white for Tual Film, it is a romance, with Ali Yaver as director of photography. Among its players is Bülent Oran, who would go on to become one of the most prolific screenwriters of the Yeşilçam era but appears here as an actor, alongside Muhterem Nur in the early years of her career, together with Gönül Bayhan, Cahit Irgat and Ayten Çakar. The film dates from the early 1950s, when Turkish cinema still turned out only a modest number of titles a year and the industry rested on a handful of small studios in İstanbul.
