Le bal du gouverneur

Le bal du gouverneur is a 1990 French drama film written and directed by Marie-France Pisier, adapted from her own novel of the same name, first published by Grasset & Fasquelle in 1984. Produced in 1988 and released in 1990, the film runs about 98 minutes. Its cast includes Jacques Sereys, Maïté Nahyr, Kristin Scott Thomas, Didier Flamand, Laurent Grévill and Hélène de Saint-Père. The project brought together Pisier's work as a novelist, screenwriter and director, as she personally oversaw the screen adaptation of her book and directed the resulting picture.
