Loves, Delights and Organs

Loves, Delights and Organs (French: Amours, délices et orgues) is a 1946 French romantic comedy directed by André Berthomieu, with a screenplay by Julien Duvivier. The cast is led by Jean Desailly, Gérard Nery and Catherine Erard, while the film's sets were created by art director Robert Gys. Its curious title comes from a French grammar rule: the words 'amour', 'délice' and 'orgue' are the three French nouns that, though always masculine in the singular, may become feminine in the plural. The phrase may also allude to the three barges named Amour, Délices and Orgues that fashion designer Paul Poiret presented at the 1925 Decorative Arts Exhibition.
