Henri Crémieux — Biography

Henri Crémieux was born on 19 July 1896 in Marseille and died on 10 May 1980. He was a French stage and film actor who also worked as a screenwriter. Across a career running from the 1930s to 1980 he appeared in more than a hundred films, frequently cast in secondary roles such as judges, doctors and lawyers. He worked with Jean Cocteau on Orfe and Testament of Orpheus, and with Jacques Demy on Peau d'Âne and The Young Girls of Rochefort. He kept acting into his final years, appearing in later films such as Au bout du bout du banc and Heart to Heart.
