The Heist

Le Temps des loups is a 1970 French-Italian crime film directed by Sergio Gobbi. Robert and Kramer were close friends as children, but their lives take opposite turns: Robert becomes a notorious criminal known as Dillinger, while Kramer joins the police. As Robert and his gang carry out a string of heists across Paris, Kramer is assigned to bring him in. When Dillinger flees Paris for the French Riviera, Kramer follows in pursuit. The project was first conceived as a period picture based on the life of John Dillinger, but it was ultimately reworked with a contemporary setting. Starring Robert Hossein and Charles Aznavour, the film proved a box office success in France upon its original release.
