'O Re

'O Re, also released in English as The King of Naples, is a 1989 Italian historical drama written and directed by Luigi Magni. The cast is headed by Giancarlo Giannini and Ornella Muti, with Luc Merenda, Iaia Forte, Carlo Croccolo, Cristina Marsillach and Corrado Pani among the supporting players. Running about 95 minutes, the film was recognized at Italy's major film awards: Carlo Croccolo received the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actor for his performance, while the production itself won both the David di Donatello and the Nastro d'Argento for its costume design.
