Luc Merenda — Biography

Luc Charles Olivier Merenda, born in the French town of Nogent-le-Roi on 3 September 1943, worked as a fashion model before turning to acting. He became one of the defining leading men of the Italian poliziotteschi genre through the 1970s, forming a long-running partnership with director Sergio Martino, and traces part of his ancestry to a paternal grandfather from Italy. Back in France during the 1980s, he took one of the starring roles in the television series Châteauvallon. He later stepped away from acting altogether and became an antiques dealer.
