Destruction Force

Destruction Force (originally La banda del trucido, also released as Dirty Gang) is a 1977 Italian poliziottesco directed by Stelvio Massi. It is the fourth installment in the shared Tanzi/Moretto/Monnezza universe and a direct sequel to Free Hand for a Tough Cop (Il trucido e lo sbirro), with Tomas Milian playing the small-time criminal Monnezza for the second time. The cast also includes Luc Merenda and Nello Pazzafini.

Milian joined the production only because of an old contract he was obliged to honor. His part, initially planned as a brief appearance, was enlarged so he could be presented as the film's star; in return, he was allowed to shape the character as he wished and to write his own dialogue without on-screen credit. Shooting lasted three weeks in total, but Milian completed all of his scenes in just five days. In German-speaking countries the film first appeared in 1985 in a version shortened by several minutes, while the uncut edition only surfaced decades later on DVD and Blu-ray.
