Could It Happen Here? (Italian: Italia: ultimo atto?) is a 1977 Italian political thriller written and directed by Massimo Pirri. Rooted in the poliziottesco tradition, the film engages with the climate of political violence and instability that marked Italy in the 1970s. The cast includes Luc Merenda and Nello Pazzafini alongside Lou Castel, Marcella Michelangeli, Ines Pellegrini and Ivo Garrani. According to critic Jean-François Rauger, the film strikingly anticipated the kidnapping and murder of statesman Aldo Moro, which took place a year after its release.
