Occhio

Movie · 1983 · 2 people

Occhio, malocchio, prezzemolo e finocchio is a 1983 Italian comedy directed by Sergio Martino. Its title comes from a traditional Italian saying used to ward off the evil eye, and the picture is built around that theme: it is split into two episodes that poke fun at superstition and magic. The first segment, Il pelo della disgrazia, is headed by popular comic actor Lino Banfi, while the second, Il mago, stars singer and entertainer Johnny Dorelli. Both stories play on the chaos that erupts when occult beliefs and bad-luck obsessions take over everyday life. The supporting ensemble includes Milena Vukotic and Dagmar Lassander. The film belongs to the wave of bawdy Italian comedies of the early 1980s.
