Dagmar Lassander — Biography
Dagmar Lassander (born Dagmar Regine Hager on 16 June 1943 in Prague) is a German-born actress who built most of her career in Italian cinema. The daughter of a French father and a mother of Chilean-German descent, she initially worked as a costume designer for the Berlin Opera before turning to acting.
She made her screen debut in 1966 in a film directed by Will Tremper and began appearing regularly from 1969 onward, becoming a familiar face in Italian crime, horror and erotic genre pictures. Following roles in Counselor at Crime (1973), Basta con la guerra... facciamo l'amore (1974) and Reflections in Black (1975), she had her busiest year in 1976 with five films released. She later worked in Italian television series during the 1980s and continued taking film roles into the 2010s, appearing in Tommaso in 2016.
Her lasting standing in genre cinema is reflected in a 2015 Italian horror film that named one of its characters after her.
