Tommaso

Tommaso is a 2016 Italian comedy-drama written, directed by and starring Kim Rossi Stuart. Produced by Palomar and shot in Italian, the film premiered out of competition at the 73rd Venice Film Festival.

The story follows Tommaso, a young and romantic actor who has just come out of a long relationship. Although he dreams of boundless freedom, his relationships keep ending in the same impasse, haunted as he is by his own fears and obsessions. When this repeating cycle finally breaks, he is forced to confront the deep emptiness inside him and his past. Alongside Stuart, the cast includes Cristiana Capotondi, Jasmine Trinca, Renato Scarpa, Serra Yılmaz and Alessandro Genovesi.
