Renato Scarpa — Biography
Renato Scarpa was born on September 14, 1939, in Milan and went on to become one of Italian cinema's familiar character actors over a career spanning more than four decades, appearing in over eighty films between 1969 and 2019.
He collaborated repeatedly with director Nanni Moretti on films such as The Son's Room, We Have a Pope, and Mia Madre, while also taking roles in landmark Italian productions including Dario Argento's cult horror film Suspiria and Il Postino (The Postman). His performance in Diaz – Don't Clean Up This Blood drew attention in the later years of his career.
