Buddy Goes West

Buddy Goes West (original Italian title: Occhio alla penna) is a 1981 Italian Spaghetti Western comedy directed by Michele Lupo and written by Sergio Donati. The film stars Bud Spencer, one of the best-known figures of the Italian comedy western, alongside a supporting cast that includes Renato Scarpa, Giovanni Cianfriglia, Joe Bugner and Riccardo Pizzuti.

Shot in 1980 and released the following year, the roughly 88-minute picture belongs to the wave of lighthearted westerns built around Spencer's solo screen persona, mixing genre conventions with broad humor. It was distributed internationally under several different titles, including Eine Faust geht nach Westen in Germany and On m'appelle Malabar in France.
