Seven Times Seven
Seven Times Seven (original title: Sette volte sette) is an Italian crime comedy caper directed by Michele Lupo, first released around 1968-1969. Blending heist-film plotting with a humorous tone, the story revolves around an elaborately staged robbery scheme. Gastone Moschin heads an ensemble cast that also includes Lionel Stander, Raimondo Vianello, Terry-Thomas, Adolfo Celi, Gordon Mitchell and Erika Blanc. The screenplay was written by Sergio Donati, Marco Vicario produced the picture, and Armando Trovajoli composed the score. Released internationally under titles such as Der Coup der 7 Asse in Germany and Opération fric in France, the film reached some countries, including Germany, only several years after its Italian debut. Before the revolution, it was also dubbed and shown in Iranian cinemas under a local title.
