Somewhere Beyond Love

Somewhere Beyond Love, known in Italian as Delitto d'amore, is a 1974 drama directed by Luigi Comencini, who co-wrote the screenplay with Ugo Pirro. The picture screened in official competition at that year's Cannes Film Festival and went on to win the Grand Prix from the Belgian Film Critics Association. Stefania Sandrelli, Giuliano Gemma and Brizio Montinaro carry the leading roles, with Renato Scarpa also part of the ensemble.

Running roughly one hundred minutes, the Italian production earned favorable notice from critics of the period, and its Cannes showing helped cement its reputation as a distinctive entry in 1970s Italian drama cinema.
