Pan Am

Pan Am is an American period drama series created by writer Jack Orman that aired on ABC from 2011 to 2012. Named after the iconic Pan American World Airways, it is set in the early 1960s at the dawn of the commercial Jet Age and follows the pilots and stewardesses of the fictional Clipper Majestic aircraft. Blending the era's glamour with Cold War tension, the story weaves passion, jealousy and espionage into the crew's airborne adventures.

Christina Ricci, Margot Robbie, Karine Vanasse and Kelli Garner play the stewardesses, while Michael Mosley and Mike Vogel portray the pilots. Produced by Sony Pictures Television, the series premiered on September 25, 2011 and concluded on February 19, 2012 after 14 episodes. Despite being sold to more than a hundred countries and winning Best Series at the Rose d'Or awards, ABC declined to renew it in May 2012, and talks with Amazon about a second season ultimately fell through.
