Péchés de jeunesse

Péchés de jeunesse is a French comedy-drama from 1941, directed by Maurice Tourneur. Harry Baur, Lise Delamare and Monique Joyce head the cast, which also features Pierre Bertin and Jacques Varennes. The picture was made for Continental Films, the company financed with German backing during the occupation years, and the production was filmed at the Neuilly Studios in Paris. Albert Valentin wrote the screenplay and art director Guy de Gastyne was responsible for the set design. With a running time of around 95 minutes, the film dates from Tourneur's later French phase, after his long career in American cinema. The available sources say little about the plot itself, but the film is documented as one of the features produced in France under the constrained conditions of the early 1940s.
