Sinbad of the Seven Seas

Sinbad of the Seven Seas is a 1989 Italian-American fantasy action film directed by Enzo G. Castellari and Luigi Cozzi. Written by Tito Carpi, Castellari and Cozzi, it was produced by The Cannon Group and draws on the adventures of Sinbad the Sailor from the Arabian Nights tales, with Lou Ferrigno and John Steiner in the leading roles.

The story sends Sinbad on a quest to recover five magical stones so he can break the evil spell a wizard has cast over the city of Basra. His voyage takes him and his crew to mysterious islands where they battle magical creatures to save the world. The film has at times been claimed as an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe, though Poe never wrote a work with this plot.
