The Bride
The Bride (original title Arus-e Farangi, "The European Bride") is a 1964 Iranian comedy film directed by Nosratollah Vahdat, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ahmad Najibzadeh. Shot in Persian, the film runs about 110 minutes.
The cast includes Pouri Banayi, Hamideh Kheirabadi, Mohsen Arasteh and Mehri Mehrnia, alongside director Vahdat himself, Rogheyeh Chehreh-Azad and Farideh Nasiri. The picture belongs to the comedy tradition of 1960s Iranian cinema and brings together several of the period's well-known character actors.
