Vagabond

Vagabond (Persian: ولگرد, romanized Velgard) is an Iranian drama film directed by Mehdi Reisfirooz, who also wrote its screenplay. Running about 100 minutes, the film was produced in the early 1950s; sources differ on the exact year of completion, giving either 1950 or 1952 (1331 in the Iranian calendar). The picture stars Gholamhossein Bahmanyar and Nasır Melek. Shot in Persian, it belongs to the early period of Iranian narrative cinema and is remembered chiefly through surviving posters and archival records of its cast and crew.
