Ahu Yağtu — Biography
Ahu Yağtu was born on 11 July 1978 in İzmir. She turned to modelling at fourteen and moved to Istanbul, eventually becoming one of Türkiye's well-known models, while also working in style consulting and fashion design; she trained as an actress at Şahika Tekand's studio.
She made her screen debut in 2001 as Esin in the series 90-60-90 and around the same time co-hosted the game show Biri Bizi Gözetliyor. Roles in Savcının Karısı (2005), Kavak Yelleri (2007), and Aşk ve Ceza (2010) raised her profile, and she is best remembered for playing Candan in Paramparça (2014-2017). She went on to appear in the series Kadın (2017) and as Suzan in Kardeşlerim (2021), and on screen in the films Bir Avuç Deniz (2010) and Arif V 216 (2018), as well as on stage in theatre productions. She was named Style Icon of the Year at the 2013 Elle Style Awards. In her personal life she was married to Cankat Doğan Akçura from 2000 to 2005 and to comedian Cem Yılmaz from 2012 to 2013, and she is currently in a relationship with Bora Cengiz.
