Arda Öziri — Biography

Arda Öziri was a Turkish television and film actor born on September 14, 1978, in İzmir. After graduating from the Acting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University, he pursued both acting and music, serving as vocalist for the band Anemi.

He began his acting career in 2000 with the series Yedi Numara and Dadı, and went on to appear in numerous productions including Asmalı Konak, Akasya Durağı, Cemile, 29-30, Dolunay, Büyük Umutlar and Aşkın Bedeli. He played the character Burak in the 2010 film Son İstasyon, and later reached a wide audience playing Göktuğ in the TRT series Diriliş Ertuğrul during the final phase of his career.

Öziri died in a motorcycle accident in Istanbul on May 27, 2018, at the age of 39; his death was mourned by colleagues and viewers alike and he has continued to be remembered in the years since.
