Burak Yörük — Biography

Burak Erman Yörük was born on 26 May 1995 in Istanbul's Şişli district, of Yörük heritage on his father's side and Albanian heritage on his mother's; he grew up in Ümraniye. He first appeared on screen as a child actor at six, stepped away from acting at twelve to take up basketball, and returned to formal training at various institutions from the age of fourteen. While enrolled in the Theatre department at Beykent University he switched to the Gastronomy programme at Bahçeşehir University, but ongoing television work kept him from finishing either course.

He appeared in the series Biz Boşanıyoruz, Şeytan, 20 Dakika and Ben Onu Çok Sevdim, along with the films Perde and Dede Korkut - Salur Kazan. Playing Barış Ozansoy in the film 4N1K and its sequel 4N1K-2 carried into the spin-off series 4N1K İlk Aşk and 4N1K Yeni Başlangıçlar, cementing his place among his generation's leading names. After the series Baraj, Aşk Mantık İntikam and Seversin, he took on Ferhat Kanturalı in Sustalı Ceylan and Oruç Furtuna in Taşacak Bu Deniz, both released in 2025.

Yörük launched a YouTube channel in 2019, built a sizeable Instagram following, and has since started his own clothing and accessories label.
