Ben Onu Çok Sevdim is a Turkish television series produced by Pana Film, which premiered on ATV on 10 September 2013. Co-directed by Mehmet Bahadır Er and Eylem Koza, it is not a romance but a political drama centered on recent Turkish history, with Mehmet Aslantuğ portraying Prime Minister Adnan Menderes. The narrative follows Menderes after the Democratic Party came to power in 1950, tracing the turbulent period that followed the Korean War, the looming Soviet threat, the process of joining NATO and the challenge of governing in an increasingly harsh political climate. The junta's plans to overthrow the government form a crucial strand of the story. Alongside his family and colleagues, Menderes endures every hardship of those difficult years. The series ran for a single season and concluded with its fifteenth episode on 24 January 2014.
