Kerem Alışık — Biography

İsmail Kerem Alışık was born on 5 June 1960 in the Şişli district of Istanbul, the only child of the veteran actors Sadri Alışık and Çolpan İlhan and a nephew of the writer Attilâ İlhan. In his youth he played football for a time at Anadolu Üsküdar 1908, and did his military service as a naval conscript in Gölcük. He began acting in 1995 as Ferit Demiröz in the series Fırtınalar and made his cinema debut in Dansöz (2000), written and directed by journalist Savaş Ay. He was married to Sibel Turnagöl from 1988 to 1993, and the couple had a son, Sadri.

He portrayed Fatin Rüştü Zorlu in Ben Onu Çok Sevdim (2013), Ayhan in Kara Sevda (2015) and Yıldırım Zafer Bozok in Sipahi (2022), and in Arif V 216 (2018) revived his father's legendary Turist Ömer character under the name Cambaz Ömer. He also appeared in Bir Zamanlar Çukurova (2018), teaches at the Sadri Alışık Culture Center founded by his mother, and has published two poetry collections and three spoken-poetry albums. In 2026 he returned to the screen as Sadık Karlıova in Kanal D's series Haysiyet.
