Ege Aydan — Biography

Ege Aydan is a Turkish theatre, film and television actor and a State Theatres director, born on 15 June 1958 in Ankara. His mother is opera singer Emine Sevda Aydan and his brother is former national basketball player Efe Aydan. He began his artistic education with ballet but gave it up because of his height, and graduated from the theatre department of the Ankara State Conservatory; between 1978 and 1995 he worked at the Ankara State Theatre, where he also directed many plays.

Aydan moved in front of the camera in the late 1980s with the series Kaynanalar and has appeared in more than fifty productions. He became known through works such as İstanbul Kanatlarımın Altında, Baba Evi, Kara Melek, Asmalı Konak, Binbir Gece, Kavak Yelleri and Behzat Ç. In later years he acted in Bi Küçük Eylül Meselesi, Kaçak Gelinler, Kördüğüm and Dayan Yüreğim. In 2020 he appeared in Gönül Dağı, in 2021 in Anadolu Leoparı and in 2022 in Çekiç ve Gül: Bir Behzat Ç. Hikayesi; in 2025 he featured in the films Senden Kalan and Bugün Güzel.
