Vineyard Mansion Life (Asmalı Konak Hayat) (translated)

Asmalı Konak: Hayat is a 2003 Turkish drama film directed and written by Abdullah Oğuz. It serves as the feature-length continuation of Asmalı Konak, the popular television series broadcast on ATV between 2002 and 2003.

Much of the story unfolds in New York. After Bahar falls seriously ill, her husband Seymen takes her to the United States in search of treatment. There the couple struggles with the despair brought on by the illness while trying to protect one another. A shooting changes everything, putting Bahar's life in danger and filling those who love them with uncertainty and suspicion.

The film stars Özcan Deniz and Nurgül Yeşilçay, with Aysun Metiner appearing alongside performers such as Selda Alkor, Menderes Samancılar, Ege Aydan and Devrim Saltoğlu. Carrying the series' characters and world onto the big screen, it reached audiences as a cinematic extension of the television story.
