Leyla Feray — Biography

Leyla Feray was born on 8 May 1993 in Istanbul to Lal Dedeoğlu and Cem Feray, and studied media and visual arts at Koç University. She began her screen career in 2013 with Ben Onu Çok Sevdim, then a year later played Türkan in Paşa Gönlüm and Gül Peri in Üç Arkadaş.

She gained wide recognition playing Ayşe Sultan in Muhteşem Yüzyıl: Kösem, moved into film in 2017 with Kardeşim Benim 2, and took the lead in the 2019 short film Aries, written and directed by Dila Bulut. In 2020 she played Hüma Hatun in the Netflix production Rise of Empires: Ottoman and Gevher Hatun in Uyanış: Büyük Selçuklu, later appearing as Neva Canpolat in İkimizin Sırrı and as the painter Pera in Camdaki Kız. In 2023 she won YEKÜV's award for promising young stage actors for playing Mehpare in Tiyatrokare's staging of Ayşe Kulin's novel Veda.

In November 2024 she and her partner of ten years, actor Serhat Teoman, announced plans to marry, but the couple separated in June 2025 before any wedding took place. That same year she joined the cast of the series Cennetin Çocukları.
