Erdinç Gülener — Biography

Erdinç Gülener was born on 26 January 1971 in İzmit. After graduating from the Acting Department of Ankara University's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography in 1997, he passed the State Theaters exam and began performing at the Trabzon State Theater; eight years later he moved to Ankara, and from 2014 he has been part of the İstanbul State Theater ensemble, while also teaching acting.

He entered television in 2007 with the series Yeni Evli, and after appearing in Canan and Ben Onu Çok Sevdim, he played Inspector Kane in Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu and Commissioner Ünsal in Kertenkele. He also appeared in the films Fakat Müzeyyen Bu Derin Bir Tutku and Bu İşte Bir Yalnızlık Var, reaching wider audiences as Cengiz in the 2017 series Bir Deli Sevda and through the 2021 series Alparslan: Büyük Selçuklu.

Gülener married fellow actor Deniz Uğur in 2021, and in the spring of 2025 he drew public attention after revealing that he had suffered two heart attacks within two days of each other.
