Burcu Kıratlı — Biography

Kıratlı came into the world on 23 July 1989 in Istanbul, to a family of Albanian descent originally from Elazığ. She finished primary school at Ata College, middle school at BJK College and high school at Bebek Yeni Yıldız College, then earned a degree from Yeditepe University's Faculty of Communication in Visual Communication Design. She later spent two seasons as a resident actress with the Müjdat Gezen Art Academy. She debuted on screen as Yağmur in Elde Var Hayat in 2010 and reached cinema in 2013 as Helin in the film Su ve Ateş, directed by Özcan Deniz.

Shaving her head for the title role in Peri Masalı in 2014 made headlines, and the part brought her a rising-star acting award; that same period she reached wide audiences as Gökçe in Diriliş:Ertuğrul. She played Elif in Bizim Hikaye in 2015, then took the lead role of Mavi in atv's Aşk ve Mavi from 2016 to 2018, winning several best-actress awards for it, and in 2020 was honored at a heritage-themed ceremony celebrating names who shaped Turkish cinema. She married and divorced singer Sinan Akçıl twice, appeared opposite Furkan Andıç in the series Yıldızlar Bana Uzak in 2023-2024, took a role in the film 7 Melek in 2024, and led the cast of Aşk Sokakta in 2025.
