Our Story (Bizim Hikaye) (translated)

Our Story is a 2015 Turkish drama film directed by Yasin Uslu and produced by Alaaddin Film. Cansel Elçin, Sera Tokdemir and Haluk Piyes lead the cast, with Burcu Kıratlı also appearing.

Set against the aftermath of the 1980 military coup in Turkey, the film follows a writer who was unjustly imprisoned and stripped of his family and future, a woman fighting to hold her life together with her children, and a young man striving to restore his honor. Their intertwined fates trace a family's endurance across the years. Shooting took place largely in Sinop, Trabzon and Rize, with additional scenes filmed in Istanbul.
