Water and Fire (Su ve Ateş)

Water and Fire is a 2013 Turkish drama film directed by Özcan Deniz, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Avni Tuna Dilligil and plays the male lead. Produced jointly by Avşar Film and DNZ Film, it was released on 15 November 2013 and is set largely in London.

The story follows Yağmur, a young woman who moves to London for language studies and stays on after completing them. On a flight she crosses paths with Kemal, a mysterious man, and a string of coincidences keeps bringing them together until she falls in love with him. Their idyllic days in London, however, are numbered: Kemal, whose real name is Haşmet, stands at the center of a bitter feud between two clans, and ending the bloodshed depends entirely on him. The dark world he has kept hidden from Yağmur soon threatens to drag her into the conflict as well.

Yasemin Allen portrays Yağmur, while the supporting cast includes Pelin Akil, Kaan Çakır, Burcu Kıratlı, Cem Uçan, Tamer Levent, Sera Tokdemir and Metin Coşkun.
