Caner Şahin — Biography

Caner Şahin was born on 13 April 1992 in Eskişehir to two retired teachers and grew up with two older brothers. He left the mechanical engineering program at Istanbul Technical University for the Theatre Department at Istanbul University's State Conservatory, from which he graduated, having co-founded the Lahza Theatre with fellow students along the way.

His screen career began in 2016 as Kadir Kayalar in the Kanal D series Babam ve Ailesi; the following year he played Bahadır Akıncı in Tutsak, then Salih Akmeşe in Nefes Nefese. He made his film debut as Ramazan in Ömür Atay's Kardeşler (2018).

He went on to play Kartal Cebeci in Kuzgun (2019) and Ali in the historical docudrama Rise of Empires: Ottoman (2020), then took the roles of Selahattin in Seni Çok Bekledim and Sinan in Dünya Hali in 2021. From 2022 to 2024 he played Tolga Kaşifoğlu in Aldatmak; in 2024 he also took the stage in Biri Gelecek Ya Da Bir Şey Olacak and appeared as Ozan Erdemir in Bir Gece Masalı and as Salih in İmam Gazali.
