Cansu Tosun — Biography

Cansu Dicle Tosun is a German-born Turkish actress, born on 26 January 1988 in Nuremberg. Her family, originally from Kayseri, had emigrated to Germany at a young age; she has a twin brother named Fırat. While studying commerce in Nuremberg, she trained in ballet at the Nuremberg Opera for thirteen years before turning to jazz and hip-hop dance. From the age of four she worked as a photo model for German brands. In 2010 she moved to Istanbul to pursue acting, training with the BKM Mutfak troupe and at Ümit Çırak's acting school.

She made her acting debut in 2011 as Neriman in the TRT 1 series Küçük Hanımefendi. She went on to play Zehra in Kayıp Şehir (2012) and Ayşen in Bugünün Saraylısı (2013-2014), followed by roles in Göç Zamanı, Familya and Bir Deli Sevda (2017), and portrayed Fatma in Mehmetçik Kut'ül Amare (2018-2019). Internationally, she played an Afghan girl in I Am You and a spy in Luc Besson's Anna. She returned to television as Medine Kaya in Kirli Sepeti in 2023 and appeared in the Dutch film Polis in 2025. She married fellow actor Erkan Kolçak Köstendil in 2018; they have a son, Marsel, and divorced in 2026.
