Cansu Tosun — Biography

Cansu Dicle Tosun was born on 26 January 1988 in Nuremberg, Germany, to a family from Kayseri, and grew up with her twin brother, Fırat. While in commercial high school she trained in ballet at the Nuremberg Opera for thirteen years before turning to jazz and hip-hop dance, and worked as a photo model for German brands from a young age. In 2010 she moved to Istanbul to pursue acting, training with the BKM Mutfak troupe and at Ümit Çırak's school.

She began her acting career in 2011 as Neriman in TRT 1's Küçük Hanımefendi, then played Zehra in Kayıp Şehir (2012) and Ayşen in Bugünün Saraylısı (2013-2014). After Göç Zamanı, Familya and Bir Deli Sevda, she played Fatma in Mehmetçik Kut'ül Amare. She also took on international projects, playing an Afghan girl in I Am You, a spy in Luc Besson's Anna, and a lead role opposite Irish actor Moe Dunford in Loya. She returned to Turkish television as Medine Kaya in Kirli Sepeti in 2023, and in 2024-2025 appeared in She Said Yes, Evet, Hayır, Belki and the Dutch film Polis.

She married fellow actor Erkan Kolçak Köstendil in 2018 and raised their son, Marsel, with him; the couple divorced in 2026 and have since continued to be seen together for their son's sake.
