Tugay Mercan — Biography
Tugay Mercan was born on December 10, 1982 in Istanbul. He studied in the Theatre and Acting Department of Haliç University; while still a student he began performing on stage at the Bakırköy Municipal Theatres and continued working at this institution after graduating.
He had his first on-screen experience in 2008 with the series Kollama. He then appeared in the series Es-Es (2009), Suskunlar (2012), Kayıp Şehir (2012), Tatar Ramazan and A.Ş.K (2013). In 2015 he portrayed Cahit Kozan in the series Asla Vazgeçmem. In 2017 he played the character Benjamin Adnan in the series Kayıtdışı, broadcast on Fox TV and starring Erkan Petekkaya, Songül Öden and Dolunay Soysert.
In the following years he appeared before audiences as Uğur in the series Kızım (2018) and as Okan in the series Azize (2019). He currently plays the character Demir in the series İnci Taneleri.
